EVENT RECAP
As we gathered for the ECS Charity Gala Dinner 2024, we experienced a night filled with elegance, purpose, and the spirit of giving!
As guests began arriving, they were warmly greeted and directed to the ECS Exhibition Area, a thoughtfully curated space that allowed everyone to connect with the heart of our organisation.
The exhibition featured beautifully presented galleries that showcased images and stories of seniors we have the privilege of serving.
Executive Director, Monica Choo, and David Lee guiding the Guest of Honour (GOH), Dr. Wan Rizal, through the exhibition, sharing insights into the organisation's activties, impact, growth and future aspirations.
Our ECS Choir Team which comprises of residents and volunteers, captivated everyone with the harmonious sounds of songs in multi-languages, leaving a sense of inspiration in the air.
Our Executive Director, Monica Choo, delivered a warm and heartfelt welcome speech, expressing her deep gratitude for the continued support from our community, donors and partners.
Dr. Wan Rizal thereafter inspired everyone on the importance of fostering community spirit, compassion, and supporting initiatives like ECS Empowerment Programme to help seniors age meaningful.
Ms Monica Choo presented a handcrafted art piece titled "Hearts in Harmony" as a token of appreciation to Dr Wan Rizal for his unwavering support to ECS and the community.
This intricate artwork is a labour of love, crafted by the elderly residents and volunteers of St. George's, symbolising the unity, connection and volunteerism that ECS foster within the community.
As the night progressed, guests were treated to exciting table draws and 10 tables walked away with attractive gifts!
We also presented a video sharing the inspiring story of Jeffrey who became an active volunteer after participating in ECS activities. He concluded with encouraging us to join his active and fulfilling journey of meaningful ageing!
The choir led the audience in a stirring finale song “A Better Tomorrow”, leaving everyone with a sense of unity and hope for tomorrow!
The evening came to a sweet close with dessert served while Monica addressed everyone with a sincere gratitude. While the night had come to an end, the impact of the evening’s generosity and connection will continue to resonate for years to come.
We are deeply grateful for the support to ECS in making the evening a success. Thank you for the generosity and for sharing our vision to empower and uplift the elderly in our community.
